What Causes Burping, nausea, constipation And Weight Loss?

I'm a 53 year old female and have had excessive burping, nausea, no appetite whatsoever, don't even feel thirsty, constipation, weightloss (10 lbs.)and lots of gurgling sounds in my intestines. My doctor gave me lansoprazole 2x day and domperidone. I'm drinking Boost, and trying to force down some bits of food during the day. I've never had all this before. I used to have a healthy appetite. These drugs are not helping me at all and have been on them one week. Should I see an improvement by now?

Hello,

The underlying cause is an intestine infection, motility-related issue or other intestine issues. Mere intake of proton pump inhibitor with antiemetic is not going to solve the issue. It is mandatory to get a detailed evaluation with basic lab tests , ultrasound, and colonoscopy for final diagnosis and management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
