Hello, so every once in a while when i drink, i get chest pain right below my sternum. As an initial curiousity as a college student, i googled it, and i got one result stating it as a symptom of Hodgkins Lymphoma! SCARY! What is the likely hood it is this? And if not, what could it be?

What Causes Chest Pain Below Sternum?
Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM! I have gone through your question. As you have occasional chest pain when you drink the first possibility is peptic ulcer disease i.e ulcer in the stomach (pain increases with intake of spicy food, alcohol, on fasting etc) . they can be treated with antacids or PPIs (Pantaprozoe or omeprazole) . Hope to have been helpful! Wishing good health, Dr D Sunil Reddy
