Hi Dr, My wife is having hypothyroid for 4 yrs, and she is taking tablets of 150 mg thyroxin daily. her weight is 97 Kg. For the past 2 weeks she is having chest pain, does this related to the thyroid, which can be controlled?. Please explain and suggest. Thanks.
hello, Thanks for using Healthcaremagic. I had gone through the data you have posted. common causes for chest pain are 1) GERD: mostly epigastric burning sensation. avoid spicy foods, non veg, smoking or alcohol if any and take.tab.pantocid 40 mg 1-0-0 empty stomach for 5 days
2) muskuloskeletal : chest anywhere but more of positional or pain localised to a point. you may need to take a muscle relaxant
4) lower respiratory tract infection. for whcih we need antibiotics and symptomatic treatment.. chest ain as such is not related to thyroid.. Hope this helps..
