What Causes Chest Tightness And Weakness While Suffering From Hiatus Hernia?

Hi, doc! I am having pain, some nausea and fullness feeling that seems to be in the area of a previously diagnosed hiatus hernia. I get this feeling every 2-4 weeks, sometimes accompanied by fullness in the chest, feeling of weakness in my thighs and ephasia (lightheadedness) and tingling in fingers and toes. I usually chalk this up to previously-diagnosed IBS, but this time it s lasting longer..enough to say it s ruining my day(about 3 hrs or so). Think I ll take a Prochlorpor...maybe it will help?

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. It could be associated gastritis with reflux esophagitis.
2. Need to take proton pump inhibitors like pantoprazole or esmoprazole along with domperidone.
3. Need to get adequate hydration. Dehydration along with anemia could be cause of weakness and lightheadedness.
4. Vit B12 deficiency requires evaluation for tingling in fingers and toes due to peripheral neuropathy. Vit B12 supplements and haemoglobin evaluation necessary.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
