What Causes Child To Scream While Sleeping?
My 8 month old girls has had two bad episodes of screaming of what seems to be pain possibly from indigestion or gas. Not sure which is causing her to have this but only happens about an hours after she goes to bed. She has no episodes during the day only about an hour after she goes to bed. She eats some fruits in the AM and some veggies in the PM. Any suggestions? Thank you for your help!!Bradley

Normally children of this age group are known to have some nightmares during sleep especially if its a disturbed sleep which might be reason for scream. As you rightly thought even the gaseous distension or a colic abdomen can cause this scream. You needn't do anything for that. Make sure you burp child well before sleep. If these episodes get frequent, then child needs evaluation in detail. Take care.
