What Causes Children To Have Stomach Ache For Long Periods Followed By Diarrhea?

my 4 year old daughterhas complained of a tummy ache for 3 months now, this week she has had a large bowel movemement and then diarriah after it. Her staomach has always been sort of bloated and i ve always wondered if it is normal but now that i push on it, it is spongy.

hi, stomach ache for 4 months in a 4 year old child can be due to worm infestation, tuberculosis, celiac disease. kindly do stool for routine microscopy test, montoux test for tuberculosis, ultrasound abdomen and ttg levels for celiac disease. the treatment will depend on the above reports. An examination by doctor should also be done so that we may not miss any important finding. Review with reports. Take care.
