Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 5 month old baby has chills and sweats, but no fever or any other symptons. She is eating normal and seems okay other than;, has cold hands, feet and cheeks, irritable and easily awoken and cries to the point she seems in discomfort. When she does sleep, she wakes up wet from sweat (we are not covering her or swaddling, just in a sleeper). She does not seem as chipper as normal so; we are thinking she is fighting off a bug or maybe constipated as well?
You might want to check the room temperature and make sure it isn't just because of an uncomfortable environment. Also check that you haven't over- or under-clothed her. If these are not the causes, you might be right; she may be having a virus that she is fighting against. However, since she is only 5 months old, I recommend that you see her pediatrician within the next 6-8 hours.
