What Causes Chills, Body Pain And Muscle Pain In Neck?

Hi. I have been experiencing slight chills and a little achy in the evenings, I thought it was from a pulled muscle in my neck, but I have recently been diagnosed with dermatomyosin with a rash over my upper body. I also have mitral valve prolapse so I am concerned about endocarditis.

Hello,

As you explain the situation I don't think this might be endocarditis. Usually, it is with a high fever that doesn't respond to painkillers. To evaluate for it you should do some blood tests such as hemogram and CRP.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jnikolla, Pulmonologist
