What Causes Chronic Cough With Yellow Phlegm And Fever At Night?

My 11 yr old has a chronic loose cough with yellow phlegm, low grade fever at night, minor nasal drainage, and strawberry tongue. She has been on the current round of antibiotic four days with with diagnosis of strep throat although rapid strep test was negative. no change. Dry cough started 2.5 months ago and she has been given two other rounds of antibiotics and prednisone. She is also taking albuterol inhaler as allergist felt the cough was caused by asthma. I'm concerned she may have something that has been missed and I'd like to know if you agree with her diagnoses.

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hai... I am a little concerned as 4 rounds of antibiotics are already administered & moreover rapid test is negative... Unlikely to be a streptococcal sore throat. With low grade fever going on, wet cough , yellowish phlegm persistent... I put forth my differentials thus...
1. Persistent Bacterial Bronchitis
2. Bacterial Rhinosinusitis
3. Persistent colonizer.
Kindly consult your pediatrician with these tips.
