What Causes Cold And Cough Even After The Medication?

my son age 2.5yrs having cold,cough and fever last 5days.and doctor advice me azithromycine and cefixime tablets.after taking this now he is normal from fever,but he is continuing his cold and cough .for his best treatment what can i do,plz advice me for better.

hello
i have read ur query.cold and cough can be due to viral infection.in that case you may wait for few more days because A cold can last from one to three weeks.for cold t-Minic syp can be given.if the cough persists than coscopin syp cn also be given.A vaporizer in the child's room might help with a cough.U can also use honey 1/2 to 1 tsp (2 to 5 ml). It thins the secretions and loosens the cough.
