What Causes Cold Shivering Attacks Women ?

My mothers 41, she has no serious medical history however earlier this morning she had a sudden shivering attack, she was freezing and nothing made her warm. During the day she was ok but now it's happening again. She's breathing ok but just doesn't seem to get warmWhat should I do?

Thanks for asking.
Based on your clinical history and query, my opinion is as follows:
1. It appears to be secondary to hypothyroidism.
2. Do get a thyroid function tests done at the earliest and check for T3 and TSH levels.
