What Causes Constant Cough In Elderly?
my grandma is in her 80s and has had this cough for a few months now and she has been given tablets but none of them work she wont eat now and she is not her happy self. she is always in pain, she cant do house work anymore or go to town. whats wrong with her?

Cough for months could be due to Infections , Allergy or some serious lung problems including cancer.
Allergy is slightly uncommon at her age , so its either infection or some serious lung problems including cancer. She needs few tests to know what is she suffering from .
I advise to get Sputum AFB , Sputum Culture sensitivity , Chest X ray done and revert back .
