Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. First I want to alley your fears regarding your kid -
1. 6 months age and chronic cough could be wheezing or other chronic infection like TB. But in the absence of weight loss and fever, only cough goes more in favour of wheezing. It could be either multi triggered wheeze or episodic viral wheeze.
2. If it is first time, no harm in using asthalin as it gives good relief.
3. Asthalin or any of the medications used for wheezing in any route either oral or inhalational do not cause dependency or make the patient prone for asthma. Actually its the other way round.
Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
