What Causes Constant Diarrhea And Abdominal Pain?

Hi my name is mohammed, I have been having diarrhea for 2 days now. Since I came back from NYC i ve had diarrhea. It s been all liquid no blood or black stool. I ve had light abdominal pain. Sometimes it feels like its going away but other times it feels like its coming back even stronger. I have been taking pepto bismol starting today and I don t know if it is working. Can someone tell me whats going on with me? And how long does it take for Pepto Bismol to take affect?

Hi thanks for asking question in HCM.
Here diarrhea seems to be because of an infective etiology.like enteritis.
The most important is to mantain the hydration of body.
So take water at frequent interval.ORS can be taken.
Eat small light meal at frequent interval.Avoid spicy and fatty food.
Soup, Rice, fruits are beneficial.
Vizylac like probiotics helpful.
Take antibiotic like OZONE O for 5 days.
When diarrhea under control, you can take solid food.
You are using pepto bismol which are not indicated just now.Itself this drug can cause diarrhea.
If still in 4 to 5 days no benefit then helicobacter pylori infection suspected and we will start antibiotic for that.
