Try this: take a glass a fill it with pure water. Put a washcloth over the glass and sip through the washcloth. If your hiccups aren't gone in a few minutes, they I would check with my doctor. Having hiccups is not related to having cancer and we can't tell you information relative to what was gained by having the camera or upper endoscopy done on your esophagus like your friend. So, try the home remedy and then go to the doctor if it does not relieve itself. In the meantime, do not worry.

Hello, Please, calm yourself. First, try a techniques to see if you can stop the hiccuping. When you begin hiccuping, get a glass of water and place a cloth over it and begin taking small sips from the cloth covered glass of water and try to engage your mind with something positive. Do this for awhile, hopefully your hiccups will disappear before the water in the glass does. If you try this a few times and it doesn't work, then yes, see your doctor. He may want an upper endoscopy done. I just had one and I didn't have cancer. There are many things that can happen besides CANCER! Learn to relax, practice positive self-talk. I have not heard of B12 shots giving you hiccups. Now, my little checklist for hiccups mentions fatigue (dry taking deeper breaths), allergies or Copd, poor nutrition, alcohol, and hypothyroidism. Have you had your throid checked lately? I certainly hope it all gets sorted out. If you have any further nutritional questions after you see your doctor again, which should be soon if you just finished a round of 5 B12 shots, ask for your blood work and you will have more info if you write in again.
