What Causes Constant Irritation In The Large Intestine?

There's no better way to describe this sensation other than a localised crawling within what I suspect is the colon of the large interstine. It is not a constant irritation but rather erratic and generally is aggrivated by eating and may last a few minutes to a few hours. Any answers Doc's.

Hello,

Irritation in large intestines may be due to infection or inflammation or altered flora of colon etcetera. Possible causes are inflammatory bowel problems, irritable bowel syndrome or dysentery etcetera.

Avoid food that irritates the bowel mucosa. Avoids alcohol and smoking. Use a high fiber diet and fruits. If symptoms not improved, please consult your gastroenterologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
