What Causes Constant Low Grade Fevers Since Birth?

i took my 14 month old son to the doctor today for a swollen lymph node in his groin. they drew blood and all of his ranges on his CBC were WNL however his lymphocytes were 78.6. the doctor said she is not worried because he is gaining weight and she didn't feel that his liver or spleen were enlarged. he does not have ear infections, strep, runny nose, cough or any other sign of a virus. i am worried about my son however because he has had a constant low grade fever since he was born. do i have reason to be concerned?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Low grade fever right from birth and not relieved by therapy suggests some chronic infection.
In such a case better rule out tuberculosis infection.
Mantoux test may help.
Better consult pediatrician and follow his advice.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
