I am sorry to hear about your mother. Loss of appetite and nausea has many different causes. Since she had ear drum rupture when she was a child it is possible that she is having inner ear problems that can cause nausea. If she is having ringing in her ears and a spinning dizziness accompanying he nausea this maybe the cause. Treatment may include anti nausea medication or anti-vertigo medication. She could also have problems with her digestive system and would require additional investigation from her primary care doctor. If she can t do that then when she is nauseous she should drink plenty of fluids in small amounts to prevent dehydration. She could also try over the counter nausea medication or even anti-histamines.
