Hello,

You are suffering from constant intense pain at the bottom of the feet. Presently, you are also hurting when you are sitting, which is a dull pain. Pain in the heel or the bottom of the feet is commonly caused by plantar fasciitis, Achilles's tendinitis, heel pad bruise, tarsal tunnel syndrome, metatarsalgia, peripheral neuropathy, etc.

You are advised to get clinically examined by a GP, get required blood tests, Nerve conduction velocity tests, and imaging tests (X-ray, CT, MRI, EMG, ultrasound, etc.) done. Your treatment will depend on the diagnosis made and the severity of your symptoms. You are suggested to avoid standing of sitting for prolonged periods. Give your legs rest. You can take Naproxen or Combiflam, one stat after food or when needed to get relieve from pain and discomfort.

If obese, maintain healthy weight . Do regular exercises and switch to healthy eating habits. Anti-inflammatory diet is ideal for anyone experiencing pain. Take fruits and vegetables, fish, nuts, and whole grains. Taking food with turmeric, lemon water, and antioxidants help to reduce foot inflammation. Maintain proper posture, wear comfortable pair of shoes, physical therapy and massage therapy are helpful.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

Constant pain in the bottom of the feet can be caused by various conditions. One common cause is plantar fasciitis, which is inflammation of the plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue that runs from the heel to the toes. This condition often develops in people who spend a lot of time on their feet, and it can cause pain and stiffness in the heel and bottom of the foot.

Another possible cause of foot pain is heel spurs, which are bony growths that can develop on the bottom of the heel bone. These growths can cause pain and discomfort, especially when standing or walking. Other potential causes of foot pain include Achilles tendinitis, which is inflammation of the Achilles tendon, and Morton's neuroma, which is a thickening of the tissue around one of the nerves in the foot.

To determine the specific cause of your foot pain, it is best to see a healthcare professional who can perform a physical exam and possibly imaging studies to evaluate your feet. Treatment options may include rest, physical therapy, shoe inserts, and medication for pain and inflammation.

If you require a personalized response, kindly use the Ask A Doctor service and post a follow-up. Take care. Hope I have answered your question.

Regards,
