My 7 months old son , after introducing cerelac rice was vomiting once after every feed and I could see some reddish spots surrounding his mouth which disappears after 15 to 20 mins. From last month he was introduced formula milk but he is not drinking and he is completely on breast feed now. 4 days before I could see some minute blood like on his stools and now it is alright. He has constipation problem for the past 2 days and what else I should give other than breast milk since he doesn t like formula milk or cerelac.Very much worried....

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the issue of vomiting, blood streaked stool after cerelac rice consists of intolerability to wheat or else. Guidelines at present:
- Stop cerelac totally
- Add goat milk
- Soups of green leafy veg, lemon juice, mung water, rice water
- Anti-emetic as ondancetron syrup on empty stomach

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
