Good evening doctor, I am from Philippines, I would like to inquire about my father situation. he is suffering from bowel movement...the stool can not pass through and before there was a frequent blood stool...and he said he can not seat properly because his anus is aching and there is like a lump that was blocking his anus...please help us..we had check up before the doctors said it was suspected as a colon cancer...but in citiscan it was negative..
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history about your father having blood in stool, checked by CT scan but no cancer found, there is difficulty in passing stool, can not seat properly because his anus is aching, there is something like a lump that is blocking his anus... The most probable cause of such an occurrence is prolapse of the rectum. This can be confirmed by the following: Per-rectal digital examination, ano-proctoscopy and colonoscopy to rule out any other problem. Once the diagnosis is confirmed get a reference for a General Surgeon or a Proctologist. Get operated. Also see that his nutrition is improved well to have a proper fat in the body.
