What Causes Continuous Vaginal Bleeding When Suffering Form PCOS?
hello, i am 26, having PCOS, the problem is i am having non stop bleeding for the last 11 daYS, i an takin tranzamin 500 mg and ponstan forte three times a day but bleeding did not stop. im am also taking metformin. to help regulate insulin level. kindly tell me how to stop bleeding. plz help i am really worried.
First let me assure you that your condition is very much treatable. Sometimes women with PCOS experience heavier bleeding , due to hormonal imbalance. If bleeding is not controlled with Tranexamic acid (Transamin) 500mg, you can increase the dose to 1 gram three times a day for 5_7days.If it's not controlled even then, contraceptive pills work well.
Besides that ,in obese or overweight (PCOS)people, even 5% reduction of weight can lead to symptomatic improvement. Please get your thyroid profile to know about your thyroid status and ultrasound abdomen and pelvis to rule out uterine problems (fibroids, adenomyosis, endometrial abnormalities) as they too may present with heavy bleeding.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
