What Causes Cough And Vomiting With A History Of GERD And Pneumonia?

Hi I have a 3yr old with Gerd and a history of reoccuring pneumonia. He was coughing and sounded mucas filled most of the night. He woke up with a small fever, and started vomiting at 8am and has been continuing to vomit off and on throughout the day...3 times this afternoon alone, the most recent within the last 15 minutes. He has had nothing to eat, refuses to eat, and will only drink once in a while...once he drinks he starts vomiting again shortly after. Should we take him in or is this more of a stomach bug we should ride out?

Hi.. by what you quote...rather than number of times vomiting, what is more important is his activity and how his urine output is? If these are fine, you can wait..but if he is not his usual self or very dull and not voiding well..He might require intravenous fluids and I suggest you get him to nearest emergency room immediately.
