What Causes Cough With Loss Of Voice?

I've had a cold for over 3 weeks now. No fever, body aches or congestion. Just a few days of a runny noses but have coughed almost the entire time. I have almost completely lost my voice at times as well. I am on the fifth day of a z pack and still feel the same. Any suggestions of what is causing my cough?

Hi welcome to health care Magic ...

You are having cold and loss of voice complaint...

So acute laryngitis seems most likely...

Your larynx and posterior pharynx should be examined ..
For larynx indirect laryngoscopy can be done...
If inflammatory swelling more than betamethasone 0.5mg given for five days...

Meanwhile take steam inhalation two times a day...
Drink more water

Take one tsp ginger juice with honey daily..

If needed CBC, throat swab and chest x ray can be done for further work up...

Take care

Advise : Otorhinolaryngologist consultation for examination..
