What Causes Coughing And Fever In A 18 Month Old Baby?

Hello doc, My 1.8 yrs old son has cough and cold from the past 10 days, he is on antibiotics since the last 6-7 days, he has bad cough and cold but no fever, his pedia asked us to get the TLC and DLC test and the results of which are : His Hb: 9.4 gm, TLC : 6300/cumm, NEutrophil :20%, Lymphocyte:77%, eosinophil:0%, monocyte: 03% and peripheral smear is 03%....can u please tell me its meaning and what is the cure...

Tests are not much bothersome except increased lymphocytes denoting infection or viral. And some nutrition has to be corrected by giving the child soups and juices containing iron.

If I were your family doctor, I had insisted to give child most safe and harmless four herb combo esp designed in classic Ayurveda for small children to address seasonal and/or infectious respiratory tract congestions, fevers, lose motions, vomiting etc besides correcting metabolism, detoxification of intestines, carminative, creating immunity and cleaning lungs, bronchus etc.

It is commonly available in India or ordered online. While you finish the course of current antibiotics regime, may start later too to convalesce fast or start giving parallel with some time gap. It doesn't Interact with other drugs. 1/2 to 1 gm is the usual dose with honey. Once addressed with it, ailment will not repeat anytime soon even in winter.
