What Causes Cramping After Sex?

I just have kinda a personal question and am wondering if there is any need to be alarmed: Every time my husband and i have sex, afterwards I am always majorly cramping, this has been going on for about three months now, and its starting to get annoying. These cramps will last for about a week. At first i thought maybe it was the beginning of a menstrual cycle but now i know it is not. Please help!!

Hello ma'am and welcome.

I am assuming these are abdominal and pelvic cramps similar to those experienced during a menstrual period. These cramps could be triggered by various factors, sometime infections, sometimes by repetitive stimuli provided by the penis to the cervix or uterus even at times.I would not consider this to be a cause for concern, but it would certainly help to visit a doctor and discuss things in more detail to help relieve you of your presentation.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
