What Causes Cut On The Vaginal Lips During A Period?

I recently had my period and wore pads during my travel so had them on longer than normal. They are the infinity always. Towards the end of the cycle I started feeling really dry and itchy and felt like I had an odor. Noone else noticed I asked my boyfriend. Now after itching I had an open cut inside my vagina on the lips could that be an sti or a result of the skin irritation?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to bacterial vaginosis and associated yeast infection. It is better to get a pelvic examination and vaginal swab to rule out this. For such case i advise combination of antibiotics like metronidazole or clindamycin plus clotrimazole as vaginal suppository. I also recommend to use intimate wash regularly to normalize vaginal bacterial flora and PH and there by prevent from getting further infections. Hope this may help you.
Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
