Hello Doctor,I ve a 20 yo female, who has been on birth control for some years now. I sometimes delay my period using the birth control. I can delay my people from one week to a one month, depending on what I need to delay it for. This month I delayed my period for 1 week and it took a bit longer than usual for my period to start. It started nonetheless. That period lasted about 2 weeks, which is unusual, and it was also really heavy, very painful and oddly coloured (dark red, brown). When it stopped I started taking my birth control pills again and then after four days, my period came back. Again, my period was extremely painful, oddly coloured and really heavy (bleeding through a max-tampon within a few hours). This period has now been going for four weeks (excluding the 4 days period free).I m sick of being on my period and being in pain all the time. What is wrong with me?
