What Causes Dark Foul Smelling Urine?

My urine smells like ham and is very dark (all through the day). This has happened a few times before in the past couple years but it normally only last a few days. It has already been 2 weeks and is still just as strong as the day it first started. I drink water. I can't figure out what is wrong?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* The most common possible reason seems to be severe urinary infection with some sort of bacteria or fungus, altering urine pH with presence of pus cells giving foul smell in the urine.
* I recommend to take a urine microscopy report with your doctor and get treated accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
