What Causes Dark Spots From Stomach To Chest In A Child?

Hi, I m really worried about my 10-yr old son. I noticed last night that dark spot-like discolorations are on his stomach up to his chest, about a third of a finger in size each. He also has some on his arms and armpits. What could these be?

Are they just discoloration or raised lesions? Any itching over there? Are the lesions progressive? Thus, I might suggest an allergic/contact dermatitis or insect bites reaction. Kindly get back with details to your doctor so that they can guide you better.
