What Causes Dark Urine With Low Urine Output After Having Doxycycline?

My husband has been taking doxycycline for 10 day. Today was the last dose and he seems to have trouble thinking and after urine being real clear yesterday to day is dark and not much out put. He has a super pubic, All vitals are good just trouble thinking and little out put

Thanks for posting your query.

I don't think it is due to Doxycycline. It could be due to dehydration probably due to less water intake .

The other possibility is obstruction ( Partial ) to urine flow most likely due to Prostratic enlargement.

First I would recommend him to increase him fluid intake and observe for 2 days , if there is no improvement then get Ultrasound abdomen pelvis scan , Urine routine test and serum Creatinine.
