1. In the elderly, pain near right rib along with brownish urine, requires
ultrasound evaluation for renal tumors.
2. Get a urine examination done, if
hematuria is positive and there is no pus cells, then ultrasound will be necessary. If pus cells positive, urine culture and sensitivity necessary to identify appropriate antibiotics for treatment.
3. If pain in rib continues, ultrasound abdomen is necessary.
4. Also
dehydration appears to be cause of
dark yellow urine, which has progressed to
urinary tract infection. He needs to take at least 6-7 litres of water per day along with cranberry juice. Meet your doctor for tests and further evaluation.
