I have recently noted that my urine is particularly dark yellow in colour. I had a cholecystectomy in 1980. I am now 75. What is now happening to my bile since it cannot escape from the biliary tree via the intestine? Is it likely that excess bilirubin is being excreted through urine now?
Its not due to cholecystectomy ..u r excreting concentrated urine..drink plenty of water...it wil settle down..ur bile is now going as usual into intestine..cholecystectomy causes just loss of storage of ur bile..gallblader is a reservoir only in that operarion we canr remove common bile duct..just we remove g blader and cystic duct..hope I am helpful
