What Causes Daytime Wetting Of Clothes In A Child?

My 5 year pees in his pants when he is playing or doing something at home that is intrested. If we are in the stores he will ask to go to the bathroom, however the times i mentioned before he pees on himself. Is this an issue we should be worried about? At night he sleeps with a pull up..Thanks

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for asking.
I can understand your concerns.
In my opinion you should use behavioural modification for him.
Pre determine a reward for him for using the bathroom each time. If he pees in the pants he does not get the reward. Use the reward he really loves or wants(like his favourite chocolate or cookie which he does not get otherwise). Praise him for using the bathroom, do not scold for the accidents.
Let me know how it works.
I hope I have helped you.
