What Causes Degenerative Disc Disease While On Tizanidine?

I am now in pain management. Dr put me on tizanidine 3x s daily. I have had 2 sets of injections in lumbar area and that might be better. I have arthritis and degernaitive disc disease from my neck to end of spine with a bulge in the lumbar section. I am trying really hard not to try anything stronger but I have been in constant pain and the middle of my back kills me if I do the simplest task at home. I spend a lot of my days on ice packs but wake up hurting. Does cyclobenzaprine work better? We are testing different medications to see if they work. I was on Soma but he doesn t want to give me that and I am not asking for it but I have to get some relief. I want my life back. I have always been active but this treatment is not working for me.

Hello,

If the simple analgesic which comes in category of NSAID not working then you narcotic analgesic can be discuss with your surgeon but prior to administered it great care need to be taken, in my opinion analgesic of NSAID group will be okay for pain, spinal cord lesions are difficult to manage as long as the pain is concern most of the time physiotherapy also can be tried.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
