Hi,

Meprate 10mg is a medication used to regulate menstrual periods in women with irregular cycles. It contains medroxyprogesterone, a synthetic hormone that mimics the effects of progesterone, a hormone naturally produced in the female body. Progesterone plays a crucial role in the menstrual cycle and is responsible for thickening the lining of the uterus to prepare for a possible pregnancy.

When a woman takes Meprate 10mg, it provides the body with a high dose of progesterone, which helps to induce a period. However, it is not uncommon for there to be a delay in the onset of menstruation after completing a course of this medication. This can happen because Meprate 10mg may take some time to clear from the body, and the body may need some time to adjust to its normal hormonal balance.

In some cases, delayed periods can also be a sign of pregnancy, so it is important to rule out this possibility with a pregnancy test if there is any chance of pregnancy. Other factors such as stress, changes in weight, and medical conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) can also affect menstrual cycles.

If your period does not start within a few days of stopping Meprate 10mg, it is recommended to consult with your doctor to rule out any underlying medical conditions and determine the best course of action.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
