What Causes Delay In Periods After Non Penetrative Sex?

Hi doctor, I had sex with my partner on 21, my periods are suppose to come on 25 but till now I did t get periods. Also my husband did t put penis completely inside, he rubbed on my vagina n there were no trace of seminal fluid or semen at tht time , he did t ejacuate on that day, is der chance of getting pregnant by dis, as I m not getting periods I m tensed , kindly suggest necessary steps to get periods

Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. In the manner described, you cannot conceive even if complete intercourse had occurred. This is because you are in the safe or non-ovulation period. Ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next period and this is when conception can occur even with a preejaculate since it is the fertile period. Delay in the periods can be due to weight disturbances, stress, infections, certain medications and cysts on the ovaries. Please see your health care provider if you become overdue by ten days.
