What Causes Delay In Periods With A History Of Miscarriage?

Hello. I am 45 years old...have missed two months of menstruation. Have been having episodes of nausea, erratic emotions, burning and itchy ears. Took an EPT 6 weeks after missed period. Results negative. Episodes of nausea, erratic emotions, and burning and itchy ears remain the same. Have history of miscarriage (two). Prior to 1st miscarriage, two EPTs said negative....turned out was pregnant with twins. Lost them 8 weeks in. Turned up pregnant 2 years later...miscarried that one five weeks in.

Hi,
Considering your age, the fact that you may entered the peri-menopause should be considered. Going by your medical history, it is advisable to get a blood test for pregnancy done along with a trans-vaginal sonogram to confirm/exclude pregnancy. By this, you can definitely get a clarification regarding pregnancy and if negative, can get a hormone profile to see the status. A proper clinical evaluation by an expert is needed to plan further management. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
