Hello. Thanks for writing us.
After reviewing the information given by you I can say that in your case there could be different reasons for the delay of periods. I am giving you the following possibilities :
1) Pregnancy: First and foremost cause to be considered for delayed periods in your case is pregnancy. If pregnancy test kit shows negative go for a blood test for Beta hcg and undergo a ultrasonography of abdomen pelvis. USG is confirmatory and if it shows a gestational sac then it is final that you are pregnant. This will change the whole cours of your management and thus you should first thing to confirmed or ruled out to be is pregnancy.

2) Periods can be delayed in PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease). USG, fasting and 2 hour post prandial blood sugar level should be done.

3) Periods can also be delayed in hypothroidism. Get a fresh thyroid profile to know the thyroid status.

Diabetic status of your husband wont affect your periods.

I hope I have answered your query.
Thanks and regards.
