Hello

Delay in urination may be due to many causes like mass in pelvis which may cause compression effect, enlarged prostate(in males),medicines side effects, psychological reasons etc.
You may need proper clinical evaluation and investigations.
Investigation include routine hemogram, random blood sugar, urine RE/ME,ultrasound of abdomen.
Ultrasound of abdomen is important and it can exclude many causes.
Proper treatment depend upon underlying cause.

Get well soon.
Take Care
