What Causes Delayed Menstruation And Negative Pregnancy Test?

I haven t had my period for going on two months, I m tired more, my voice has changed, I ve been getting really bad pains in my lower abdomen and farther up my stomach once in a while, my back has hurt more and I ve been getting more frequent headaches. All the signs point to being pregnant, but I ve taken two home pregnancy tests and they both came back negative..

Hello, There are many causes for delayed menstruation. Pregnancy if set in, then there will be no menstruation till the pregnancy is complete or something goes wrong with it. Menstruation may get delayed in hypothyroidism which of late has been noticed quite often. Hence, now a days it is mandatory to get a thyroid assay done before a woman wants to get pregnant. There may be anemia which can also cause delayed or scanty menstruation. So if your pregnancy tests are negative get a thyroid assay and hemogram done. Thanks.
