OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,

Given your medical history, in the current scenario, I would suggest a clinical evaluation of the cause of the delayed period along with a sonogram of the pelvis, preferably in the trans-vaginal route to know the status of the pelvic organs.

If you have performed the home pregnancy tests as per instructions, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. Hormone imbalance, influenced by several causes like sudden weight changes, stress, infections, polycystic ovaries and use of certain medications et cetera, is the more likely cause. Further management can be planned after evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanti Vennam
