What Causes Delayed Periods After Tubal Ligation?

I recently had a tubal ligation after giving birth in aug. I had my menstrual cycle in aug but I didn't have one in sept or oct then I finally had my cycle in nov but haven't had one in dec so far. I have always had regular on schedule cycles so is it possible that I am pregnant?

Hi,
It is normal for some menstrual disturbance to happen after tubal ligation and if this persists even after six months, you may need to get investigated. Furthermore, post delivery hormonal regulation is most often delayed, especially if you are feeding the baby. It could be that your menstrual cycle is still deranged following delivery. Anyhow, it would be ideal to have a check up with your consultant to cover your post-operative as well as regular visit. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
