Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a lightened area a the top of my right buttock that appeared about a month ago. When touching that lightened area there is a deep dent there as if part of the muscle has collapsed. The left side is fine. I dont know what it could be. I have searched the internet. Starting to get a little worried.
Your symptoms could be suggestive of an abscess (a localized infection). I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and performing an ultrasound of the soft tissues.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
