What Causes Depression While Using Rigeviron?

Hi, I ve a query regarding about being changed from microgynon to rigeviron. I ve been on microgynon for over 15 yrs with no issue but have now been on rigeviron for just over 4 months and noticed that the depression that i suffer with has gotten quite severe. Is there any chance that this has occurred due to the change in prescription? I l d rather not go back to anti depressants if this is the case. Regards Kelly Williams

Changes in hormonal levels often trigger depression. The amount of hormones is different when you change birth control pills. Pregnancy from the 1 to 5% failure rate of the pill can also trigger depression. Hormonal changes inducing depression is the MOST successfully treated form of depression and any of the anti-depressants are at least 90% likely to fix it in a month. Life circumstance induced depression (unplanned pregnancy) is not nearly as effectively treated by anti-depressants.
