What Causes Developmental Delays In A Child?

HI, My kid is 16 months old, we had noticed that he is not learning anything taught to him, he does nt respond to normal voices where as when TV is switchon he reacts and comes near it not only when music/songs are played on mobiles he reacts on it too, is it a cause of worry?

Poor nutrition,Lack of care.
From your description it looks like, Autism which usually exhibit difficulties in social interaction as well as in verbal and non-verbal communication.

Communicate more with your child -- talk, sing, and encourage repetition
read daily to your child.
Reinforce speech and language throughout the day.
