What Causes Diarrhea After A Stomach Injury?

hi, recently my nephew got kicked in the gut during soccer and seemed fine for a while. But now, he is weak and is experiencing some mild form of diarrhoea. I gave him some milk and he is now resting. What I should do in order to address this issue at hand? Thanks.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your nephew and understood your concerns.
Being kicked in abdomen should be taken seriously irrespective of the symptoms as many of the symptoms can come on late and hence needs the following:
Clinical evaluation, examination by a General Surgeon.
X-ray of abdomen in standing and laying down position.
Contrast enhanced CT scan should be done in every case to rule out the injury to inner organs as ultrasonography can miss many parts.
Get him admitted to the hospital for observation for 48 hours and get treated as per the diagnosis thus made.
Do not treat at home.
