Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Very often I have to poop within 10 minutes of eating. It’s diarrhea and often explosive. It doesn’t matter what I just ate. It’s not every meal. I have asked a PA about a year ago and she didn’t seem concerned. I’m 65 and have had my gall bladder removed about 3 years ago. No symptoms prior.
- Use over the counter option like Imodium - Take probiotic - Avoid spicy foods, fruits, alcohol, and caffeine until 48 hours after all symptoms have disappeared - Avoid chewing gum that contains sorbitol - Avoid milk for 3 days after symptoms disappear - You can eat cheese or yogurt with probiotics - Drink liquids
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
