What Causes Diarrhea Along With Small Particles In Stool?

Hi doc, I have a strange thing going on for the last two weeks now: In the beginning: severe diarrhoea, which changed to small particles of undigested food now, sometimes covered in something white slime ish. Very frequent stools. When it started, unexplainable pain in shoulder and armpit of right arm. It faded away quickly again within two days. Pain when I press on the sternum, but only when I press it. Every now and then light testicle pain. Besides that, I feel normal. No headache, no fatigue, no swollen lymphones. I would have gone to a medical professional allready however I am in a developing country for work now where I do not trust doctors at all. Thank you.

Welcome to health care magic,

This feature of diarrhea with shoulder,arm and abdominal pain seem to be due to gastroenteritis or irritable bowel syndrome which might need some medical attention but there is nothing serious here.

Abdominal pain and diarrhea could be here due to acute bacterial gastroenteritis or viral gastroenteritis etc.

Small particles or white slime specks in stools could be as a result of undigested food material or some infection or parasite infestations.

You should undergo routine blood count,electrolytes with clinical examination of abdomen or ultrasound of abdomen to rule out infection.

You will require short course of antibiotics (quinolones or cephalosporins or antiprotozoals etc.) with antiemetic, antispasmodics and antiinflammatories with prebiotics and probiotics.

There will be some need of fluid and electrolyte balance in body for which you can take oral re-hydration formula.

You must consult physician for complete treatment and visit ER on urgent basis.
