What Causes Diarrhea And Anal Itching After Taking Amoxicillin?

I had strep throat and was given Amoxicillin so after about 2 days I started experiencing diarrhea then later noticed itching towards outside of my rectum .. it seems as if my skin has been peeling or something along with pain!!! & I might have yeast infection. Is there something I could take to help with this

Diarrhea and anal itching are both due to Amoxicillin as Amoxicillin is an antibiotic and it can damage the good bacteria along with the harmful one..
Due to disruption of good bacteria of intestine there is disturbed function causing diarrhea..
Itching of anus seems to be due to fungal infection of the anus due to Amoxicillin intake..
So first of all stop taking antibiotic..
Secondly to control itching take antihistamine like Benadryl..
Take plenty of probiotics like Yogurt as it will help in both diarrhoea and fungal Infection..
Take Loperamide to control diarrhoea..
Take oral rehydration salts to compensate for fluid loss..
Apply antifungal ointment in the anal area and in case if it does not get better oral antifungal medication like Fluconazole or Nystatin can be taken orally after consulting an Emergency room..
